Be Overwhelmed

People always complain about being overwhelmed (Oh, and I'm one of them!) but today, I am  overwhelmed in the best way. Overwhelemed by the Presence of God! I can't stop meditating on how awesome the love of Christ is. His love is overwhelming. It's powerful. It's consuming. It's beyond words. How awesome is it that His Spirit lives within us as believers?! How amazing is it that He gives us the words we need to pray, the power to break strongholds with the enemy, and the faith it takes to proclaim His love to the world! It's just overwhelming. That word just seems to be what I'm experiencing today. His Spirit is heavy and it makes it hard to breathe, and that may not sound ideal, but it's the best feeling in the world. To be covered by His Presence and His Spirit and simply grateful for it.
I pray that if you haven't experienced that kind of Holy encounter with God's Presence that you would take a moment today in the midst of your busy schedule, and let Him come. Let His love come in. Let it surround you. Let it consume you. Let it overtake you. Let it overwhelm you. Just breathe it in, and know that nothing can separate you from it! It's a simple thing, but something I think that gets overlooked in our daily journeys of faith: To just be overwhelmed by and in awe of Him. Today, I choose to soak in His presence, and be thankful that I have such a great and mighty Savior who wants to know me, who wants to consume me with His love, and who wants me to just stand back in be in awe!

"And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and how long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all fullness of God." Ephesians 3:18-19

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
